Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions. It is based on the holistic principle that the well-being of an individual relies upon the smooth function of the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues.

Primarily osteopathy is a manual therapy and provides safe effective treatment and care that focuses on releasing tension, improving mobility and optimising function for the body. Health advice and exercise is provided if necessary.

Osteopathy is effective in treating many conditions including:

  • Musculoskeletal conditions:

    • Back and neck pain

    • Joint pain​

    • muscle pain

    • arthritic discomfort

  • Neuromuscular conditions:​

    • Sciatica​

    • Headaches that originate from the neck

  • Sports injuries​

  • Repetitive strain injuries

  • Postural changes during pregnancy

  • Postural problems from driving or work
